Excellence in Volunteering Celebration

United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties’ Volunteer Center has a long history of honoring outstanding volunteers in our local community. For 28 years, one of the main ways that we have done so is through the Outstanding Volunteers of the Year Luncheon. However, this year, we have made the decision to change how we honor the outstanding volunteers of our community.

We are proud to announce that instead of the volunteer of the year luncheon, we will be honoring more than 30 volunteers at the first annual Excellence in Volunteering Celebration on April 13, 2016 from 4-6 pm at The Shores Resort & Spa.

Changing this event from an awards luncheon to a celebration reception will allow us to honor all of amazing volunteers of our community that the nonprofit community, have chosen to honor. In future years, we will be changing how individuals and groups are nominated with the goal being that it will be much easier on organizations to recognize excellence in volunteering.
