Volunteer Center Concludes July 1st 2024
The Community Foundation and United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties have proudly provided volunteer services to our community for many years. Through our Volunteer Center, we have supported over 130 agencies and facilitated more than 17,000 volunteer hours annually. Our organization deeply values the role volunteerism plays in fostering community engagement. We recognize that our community's progress is largely due to the incredible efforts of volunteers, both through our organization and others.
CF UWVFC's primary goal is to support the community by ensuring our nonprofits are successful and have the resources they need to fulfill their missions. As the needs of our community evolve, we remain dedicated to serving in the most impactful ways. Currently, we find the most pressing need is for fundraising efforts. With the rise of inflation and operating costs, more nonprofits are seeking financial assistance. In response, CF UWVFC will enhance its fundraising efforts and will discontinue the Volunteer Center Services starting July 1, 2024.
CF UWVFC will continue to operate the Get Connected platform until September 30, 2024, ensuring everyone has access to pull reports and data from their profiles. Despite discontinuing Volunteer Center Services, we will continue to engage in volunteerism through our Board of Directors, Community Impact Cabinet, Women United Volusia, Women United Flagler, Generation Impact, and the VITA program. We sincerely appreciate the hard work and dedication of our volunteers in improving lives within our community.
